How do you breathe new life into an established brand? Drawing inspiration from international restaurants, we not only refreshed the look and feel of South Sea Seafood, we added a new element–a wine cellar housing the finest wines from around the world–appealing to a new client base.
With competitors in relative proximity, and being less strategically located than other seafood restaurants, we doubled the function of billboards. The out-of-home advertising not only captured the brand personality, but also served as a way-finding system, pointing towards the direction of South Sea Seafood.
Inspired by the myriad of colours in seafood dishes, we filled in the silhouettes of sea creatures to form the brand’s new graphic elements. The result is fresh, vibrant, while still retaining a sleek outlook. A wine cellar was also introduced, catering to the targeted business audience.
Staying true to this identity, the design is replicated throughout the restaurant, including stationery and environmental design, even on South Sea Seafood’s online platforms (website and social media). Taking digital a notch up, we also introduced the iPad Digital Menu for the discerning customer.
